Marc Adler
Former Chief/IP Counsel, Rohm and Haas
Adler is an independent intellectual property strategist and consultant with more than 27 years of intellectual property law experience. Previously, he was chief intellectual property counsel at Rohm and Haas Company, a worldwide specialty materials company. There, he was responsible for all global patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret matters. At the same time, he also served as associate general counsel and assistant corporate secretary at Rohm and Haas. Adler is a member of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Patent Public Advisory Committee and is a former president of both the Intellectual Property Owners Association and the Association of Corporate Patent Counsel. He received his J.D. from St. John’s University and holds a master’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Florida and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from City University of New York.
Max Carnecchia

As former President of Interwoven, Max brings over twenty years of technology leadership expertise — with a focus on sales, technical support, professional services, and the development and delivery of worldwide training programs — to the benefit of First To File’s customers, shareholders and executive team.
Interwoven, a leading software content and document management business was acquired by Autonomy Corporation (LSE: AU.L) for $775 million in cash in Q1 2009. Max joined Interwoven in 2001 as Vice President of Alliances, and was then promoted to Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales, overseeing the company’s sales organizations in the Americas, Asia Pacific (APAC) and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
Prior to Interwoven, Max was Vice President of Global Sales for Xoriant, Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations for Smart DB Corporation sales, and has held management positions at IBM, Intel, and Group 1 Software.
Kevin Johnson
Partner, Quinn Emanuel
Johnson’s practice at Quinn Emanuel focuses on litigating patent infringement, trade secret, unfair competition, trademark, copyright, and licensing actions in federal and state courts as well as the International Trade Commission. He has represented a wide range of technology industry clients, from Fortune 50 companies to growing technology startups, in a variety of intellectual property disputes. Prior to Quinn Emanuel, Johnson was a partner at Fish & Neave. He received his J.D. from Hofstra University and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University.
John Martin
Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Strategy, IQNavigator
John leads product direction, software development, technical operations, and strategic planning for IQNavigator, the leading Services Procurement SaaS solution provider.
Previously, in several vice president roles for Saba Software, John helped drive a pre-revenue startup to become the market-leading learning management system provider. John was also Vice President at Convergence Technologies for CSG Systems, the leading cable billing provider, leading its open-systems development efforts. He also served as a management consultant at McKinsey & Co. for four years, and he started his career as one of the first employees in Oracle’s consulting division.
